I painted this last week at the show. It's my current favorite. :)

I spent last week at the Daniel Keys workshop that was held at the Scottsdale Artists School. It was awesome. It opened my eyes to a whole new world--the world of still life. I'm super excited to challenge myself. There is nothing half so educational as painting from life, and the prospect of a subject that doesn't move and light that doesn't change makes me want to do a little jig of joy. :) It's incredible to me that I never really considered playing around with still life until now, but I know I'm going to learn a ton from it and I can't wait to get started.

I finally got a decent picture of the painting that won San Clemente Plein Air this Summer.
